CLUB LICENSING UPDATE | 2026/27 SEASON

Several stadiums have failed to meet the Club Licensing requirements for the 2026/27 season.

This means clubs whose home grounds did not meet the required standards will have to upgrade their facilities or secure alternative approved venues before they can host league matches.

The move highlights FUFA's commitment to improving the quality, safety, and professionalism of football in Uganda.

FUFA President Moses Magogo has revealed that the plan is for all Uganda Cranes' home matches in the 2027 AFCON qualifiers to be hosted at Hoima City Stadium.

The Cranes will kick off their qualification campaign in September after being drawn in a challenging Group G alongside Tunisia, Libya, and Botswana. Fans will be hoping the new venue provides a strong home advantage as Uganda pushes for a place at the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
