*Till we see you again*
8 years ago, we moved into the Jalan Besar district and found a home on the ground of an unassuming industrial building at 115 King George’s Ave by converting it from an old warehouse into a space called The Refinery as we know it today.
Since it’s inception, it has been an absolute blast for the team to have served the neighbourhood with our grub and drinks over these years. We’re also so proud to have been part of the neighbourhood’s development, playing host to numerous art exhibitions, pop ups and design festivals in support of local artists, as well as witnessed numerous beautiful couples tied the knot over intimate weddings held within our spot.
Needless to say we have been so fortunate to have met so many kind and generous customers, some of whom have turned into regulars and eventually friends.
Our team is incredibly humbled by the support of everyone whom we’ve had the pleasure of serving in the past few years, specially so those who have came over during the lockdowns to shower us with words of encouragement as well as support us with takeaways and delivery orders. We could only have made it this far because of you guys!
It’s with a heavy heart, that The Refinery will be closing at the end of Aug as we have been unable to reach an agreement with the new landlord.
Our last service will be held on 27 August 2022 Saturday so do drop by again for one last hoorah at 115 King George’s Ave before we officially close our doors. It would mean a lot to the team to see those familiar faces once again as we mark the end of the chapter at this location.
