Honoured to be featured on the “Your Singapore Weekend” podcast.
A heartfelt conversation on heritage, culture, and community.
We explored the story behind The Peranakan Club
and the deeper meaning of preserving Baba Nyonya traditions.
For our founder Ray Khoo, food has always been more than flavour.

It is memory, identity, and a bridge between generations.
We also touched on the journey of building spaces
that celebrate culture while giving back to society.
Grateful for the opportunity to share this passion.

A taste of heritage, a story worth preserving.
From recipes passed down through generations…
To a living culture we bring to the table today.
At The Peranakan Club, every dish carries memory, identity, and soul.
More than food it’s about people, stories, and belonging.
Founder Raymond Khoo shares a journey rooted in tradition and driven by purpose.
A belief that culture must be lived, not just remembered.
From Tok Panjang feasts to everyday plates…
We celebrate the richness of Peranakan heritage.
And beyond the table. A commitment to community and giving back.
Because heritage isn’t static.
It evolves, it connects, it feeds the soul. ✨

And just like that, we’re almost at the 15th night.

In Singapore, Chap Goh Meh is the "Grand Finale"; that one last big hurrah before the CNY decorations come down and we fully settle back into the rhythm of the year. It’s the night for making the reunion spirit last just a little bit longer.

We’re keeping the lights bright and the tables long at TPC. Whether you’re gathering the whole extended family or catching up with friends, we invite you to join our Tok Panjang, the grand table where our community becomes one.

There is something extra special about tossing for success and vitality on the final night of the festival. Let’s make it a loud one! 🥢

We believe in ending the festivities as we started, with a whole fish to ensure "abundance" flows right into the months ahead. Featured here is our Ikan Goreng Chuan Chuan. 🐟

Chap Goh Meh is traditionally a night for something sweet to ensure a smooth year. Treat the table to our Heritage Durian Pengat or Blue Pea Sago Gula Melaka.

The red packets might be all handed out, but the warmth of the Bakul Siah (family basket) at TPC never stops. Let’s end the season on a high note.

Selamat Makan and Happy Chap Goh Meh! 🥂🌕

The Peranakan Lo Hei is a story of the Straits, a reflection of our dual heritage, where traditional Chinese customs meet the aromatic soul of the Southeast Asian garden.

Our version adds ten distinct ulam herbs sourced from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. This infusion is a nod to our Ulam heritage, balancing the dish’s sweetness with the earthy fragrances of our home. The final bridge is our Signature Sauce, a traditional plum base infused with Kaffir Lime Leaf for a bright, citrusy, and refined Peranakan finish.

At our table, the Lo Hei is an active exchange. As we add each ingredient and utter a blessing, we invite you to claim it by responding: "Shou Dao!" (收到!) — I have received it! So don't just toss for luck; affirm your abundance. Let the chorus of "Shou Dao!" lead you into a better year.

WA The Peranakan Club at 8988 0201 to secure your festive Peranakan Lo Hei now.

Come celebrate your birthday with us on Ren Ri 人日

Where will you be celebrating your birthday? 🎂

In our heritage, the 7th day of the Chinese New Year is Ren Ri, where we celebrate everyone’s birthday. It is the "Birthday of Humanity", a moment to celebrate my life, yours, and the shared existence that brings us together.

A birthday this significant requires more than a simple meal; it’s the perfect excuse to gather your kin and kith and return to the heart of what matters: good food and even better company – at TPC, where every dish served is a spoken blessing over your family for the year ahead.

Here's how we propose celebrating your birthday:

The Ritual of Lo Hei 🥢
At TPC, we toss for prosperity all year, but doing so on Ren Ri feels different. It is a timeless practice of communal hope: as you toss high with your family, you are inviting vitality and harmony into your shared future.

Long Life in Every Strand 🍜
We honour the tradition of eating noodles for longevity with our Dry Laksa. It’s our way of wishing you a life as flavourful and enduring as our rempah.

A Symbol of Abundance 🐟
Our Butterfly Fish sits at the centre of the table as a promise of nián nián yǒu yú ensuring that your Bakul Siah (family basket) remains full throughout the year ahead.

The Ultimate Toast 🍵🥂
In a Peranakan home, the highest form of hospitality isn't found in a grand speech, but in a quiet bowl of Bird’s Nest. Double-boiled in the traditional manner, it remains our ultimate gesture of deep respect; a sweet, elegant way to say "I value you" to your elders and loved ones as we toast to another year of health.

Whether it’s your actual birthday or just "Everyone’s Birthday," secure your table at TPC now, and let us celebrate the "here and now" together.

Celebrating your birthday, mine and ours, together 🎂 ✨
