My my, it’s been a long while since the last post here. Have been busy with life but we are ready to jump back into this after a good few months of well-needed rest!

Most of our inventory has also been sold out (our black mugs have been a popular one), but we still have our Pebble White mugs that are ready to be shipped out to you anytime.

Our buckwheat tea has also sold out but fret not, we are already looking to restock it!

πŸ‘€ We also have a new variety of buckwheat tea coming up (hint: black pearl)

Can’t wait to share more about what we have in store for everyone!

Question: How many cups of tea can I make with 1 tube of kowacha's buckwheat tea?
Answer: Up to 40 cups!! Each batch can be re-steeped for 3-4 times too, so technically that adds up to 160 cups πŸ€“
And guess what, our buckwheat seeds are also edible (it has a similar texture to barley)! We love to make the most out of our buckwheat so that means we regularly re-steep our own buckwheat tea up to 5 times over the course of 2-3 days.

We've been experimenting with different methods of brewing our buckwheat tea, from hot to cold, to adding sweeteners such as honey into our tea. We've also tried to find the perfect 'buckwheat latte' recipe but due to its novelty, we had to experiment with different types of milk ourselves.
Low fat milk, regular milk, soy milk, most of them do not complement the nutty aroma of the buckwheat tea. So we tried oat milk, and viola! It was an instant hit, the oaty/cereal taste of oat milk blended in really well with the nuttiness of the buckwheat tea! We added more buckwheat grains for this recipe as we wanted the buckwheat taste to still be the primary one in this drink. Fret not, we'll write up a brief article for this recipe, detailing the ratio of ingredients needed πŸ˜‰.

Hurray to the start of a long weekend! πŸ₯³
While we drink buckwheat tea regularly for its pleasant aroma and refreshing taste, buckwheat actually boasts a wide array of health benefits, one of which is that it helps to improve our cardiovascular health. ❀️
A study published in 2019 by the National Library of Medicine has shown that ingesting buckwheat had resulted in decreased plasma total cholesterol (TC) and LDL-cholesterol. While our body definitely needs cholesterol to build healthy cells, too much of it can increase our risk of heart disease. πŸ€•
