We are the first social café that adds playing board games to the menu in Malmö. Here, you will find over 350+ games so we have something for new players or long-time gamers. What game was the origin story of your friendship?

If you have spent any time playing games, you know it can be a great way to make friends. Speaking from personal experience, the best friends I have made around the world are through board game meetups. And we see it all the time in the cafe.

Seeing how someone plays reveals their true character, and it can ease nerves when first getting to know them.

This Sunday, we are teaching Dominion - the classic deck drafting/deck building game that is fun, endlessly replayable and incredibly easy to learn!

While it comes with many, MANY expansions, we will just be playing the base game. Though once you start with the base, it can be inevitable that you will want to play all the expansions! So consider yourself warned; we are not responsible for you having to buy many more new games!

But do come join us this Sunday for a cosy fun afternoon playing Dominion!

Are you the kind of person who loves to bring people together, play board games and embrace community?

Can you teach board games, host RPGs or ask questions? Or want a space to expand these skills?

We have opened the doors to our volunteer program till July 23rd.

So if you have any interest in hosting events at Brads and joining the best community in Malmö, head to our website and register your interest.

By registering your interest, you will be invited to a meeting where we can explain more about what is involved and answer your questions. Then, once you feel you know what you're signing up for, you can choose to become a volunteer or not!

What can we say about Catan that has not already been said?

It is a classic; it is fun; it will make and break the strongest of friendships!

You will curse the dice and question the probability of certain rolls many times during the game! You will negotiate for wheat like your life depends on it! You will become so invested in sheep that you will question whether you should change careers and become a shepherd!

And don't even get me started on the 7 roll. You will have nightmares about the number 7 for many nights after!

So all that said, it is such a fun game, and you should come try it out at our social table on Thursday, the 16th of July at kl 18.

When we say classic, what game pops into your mind? Catan? Ticket to Ride? Monopoly?

But what makes these games classics? Or perhaps you don't think these games are classics, but some others are? In that case, which ones and why?

For me, I think a classic game is a combo of standing the test of time and being an entry-level game to a specific game mechanic or type!

Catan is a classic (in my opinion) because most people will play it, enjoy it and learn resource management as a mechanic from this game before moving on to more advanced games using that mechanic.

Our weekly Wednesday quizzes are not so weekly at the moment, but we have two amazing ones you don't want to miss!

Over the summer, our amazing hosts are taking some well-earned rest, and we will be back weekly come the fall!
