Khudmukhtar aurat say dartay kyun ho?
This is gonna be rant, also a long one.
I’ve been trying to articulate my thoughts since last night and process these ‘dedicated’ efforts to cancel our event & tarnish our reputation.
Let me just say, none of it is coincidental, it was all calculated. Disappointed, but not surprised.
It’s easier said than done to put up a brave smiling face as a host whilst people are scheming against you. I put my literal heart & soul into my events, it’s a months hard-work & sleepless nights.
As a host, you’re not only responsible for your own personal safety and success, but also the vendors who put faith & trust in you, we thrive on creating that for women owned ventures.
Most if not all young girls of this town have been attending chaand raat with Communal since 5 years, & only get permission to pop up at Communals events because they can vouch for the safety. We curated the concept of a safe family chaand raat in Sialkot, this was our 11th time hosting it.
Now, to the person who was behind all this filth, you know who you are, and whatever your messed up plan was, for some momentarily masculine ego boost, sorry to break it to you, you miserably failed & it’s actually hilarious. Spreading fake news that our event got cancelled, you weren’t just messing with us, you were messing with 50+ small home grown women led ventures, shame on you for to call it ‘fahashi,’ it’s appalling.
But it’s the easiest thing to do, isn’t it? Character assassinate women & call women led ventures and ideas immoral, and ‘culturally & religious’ unacceptable.
Now that I’m done ranting!
We came out stronger, wiser & braver, it was a reminder of our existence & the family and the bonds that we’ve built, Communal isn’t a cafe, it’s a COMMUNITY.
You can’t break a community that took 5 years to come into fruition and is still blooming!
But you know what’s breakable? People who have immoral & evil intentions like yours.
One more thing, thank you for marketing our event, standing ovation please, fahashi aap aur aapki soch.
To Communal’s family; you guys stand with us through literal thick & thin 🥹
Thank you for trusting us & making history ‘again.’
