Our Story

Knowing the Pakistani love for food and appreciation for international tastes, we bring genuine, fiery and mouthwatering Thai cuisine to tantalize your taste buds.

I moved to Canada in 2006 at the age of 16 and lived there for almost 10 years. During this time I received not only academic education but invaluable work experience before returning to my hometown Karachi. My father has long had a dream of opening a Thai restaurant. Being an airline pilot, he would fly to many different destinations, one of which was Bangkok. He was passionate about cooking and would learn different cuisines of the world from the many hotels and restaurants he visited.

He did his first official certificate course from Sompong Thai Cooking School in 2013. Sompong, which opened in 2008, quickly became one of the top cooking schools in Thailand and recently received a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.com. His enthusiasm rubbed off on me. Seeing that there was a high demand in Karachi for Thai cuisine, we decided to bring the authentic taste of Thailand to the Pakistani populace. My father and I went to Bangkok in June 2016 to further our culinary training from Sompong Thai Cooking School. Soon enough we started training our chefs using the advanced techniques we had learnt. We chose the name Siam Express as Siam was the former name for Thailand.
