get to know us more: at slow sunday, we make most of our syrups and purees in house, slowly prepared behind the bar.

we like knowing what really goes into each cup, adjusting it, tasting it, and making sure it tastes right before it reaches you.

it takes a little more time, but it lets us keep things simple, honest, and closer to how we want them to taste and how we want you to experience it.

who else remembers pocketbooks? hmm

there was a time when these were part of everyday life for our lolas and mamas. something you’d borrow, pass around, and read during afternoons filled with giggles. some of these stories even had tv adaptations that aired in the afternoon, and maybe some of us grew up watching them too.

our mom used to collect and rent these books out back in the day. now, they’ve found a new home here at the cafe.

if you grew up with these, feel free to pick one up and revisit a familiar feeling. and if you’re curious, maybe this is your sign to see what made them so loved before. take a little trip back in time for a while.

take a seat, flip a few pages, and stay a little longer.

hi friends! we just wanted to share a small update.

due to recent changes in supplier costs and everything happening around us, there will be a slight price adjustment on some items, while still keeping the quality consistent.

this wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s something we felt was necessary so we can continue serving you with the same care and intention.

we’re also moving towards a cold whisk method for our matcha and hojicha drinks. we’ve found that it enhances the tasting profile of our Nagori and Akari, making each cup more full-bodied.

thank you for understanding, and for staying with us through it all.
