What began as simple coffee dates in 2022 slowly became the foundation of a bigger dream. Fascinated by the craft of espresso and the artistry behind every cup, Christian Rae Rosales took his first leap in 2023 by launching a small pop-up cafรฉ, The Daily Cup Cafรฉ. Self-taught through โYouTube University,โ he served coffee at local events in Rosario, setting up along the roadside with nothing but passion and hope.
The venture was short-lived, and the dream seemed to fade until 2024, when he joined the DTI-supported YEP-BYOB program. Though he only received a consolation prize during the business pitch, something far more valuable was restored: his purpose.
In 2025, that renewed vision led him to become a Provincial Awardee of the Young Farmers Challenge (YFC), providing the support he needed to establish The Coffee Lab Roasters, officially registered as Karaga Rosteria Coffee Roasting Services. Further strengthened by the KMME Program by Go Negosyo, where he was recognized as one of the Best Presenters, he embraced his identity not just as a coffee enthusiast, but as an entrepreneur.
Today, he balances a full-time profession by day and runs a small roadside coffee shop by night in Wasian, Rosario, Agusan del Sur proving that with faith, perseverance, and purpose, even the smallest spark can grow into something extraordinary.
