Our birthday misua is the “wet misua” kind. Easily loved by both kids and adults alike, ths can easily bring happiness to any household. We love having this for breakfast, keep some in the fridge, to have it for lunch and dinner as well 😋

Each mouthful is a play of flavor and textures. The umami of misua complemented with the layers and layers of flavors of the chewy shiitake mushrooms, well seasoned pork and chicken, crunchy nuts and topped with the fragrant scallions and scrambled eggs provide the perfect finish.

For us, birthdays were never complete without Ahma’s special Birthday Misua. Every year, she’d spend the entire day before our big day preparing all the ingredients, making sure everything was perfectly prepped and ready by 7am the next morning, just in time for our birthday breakfast. 🥣

This dish may seem simple, but the process is anything but. The result? A rich, satisfying bowl of wet misua, generously loaded with shiitake mushrooms, tender chicken, savory pork, eggs, crunchy nuts, and fresh scallions. Each bite is a mouthful of comfort and love.
