| WHITE CHOCOLATES WERE ONLY CONSIDERED βCHOCOLATESβ SINCE 2004!
White chocolate is only considered a "confectionary" before 2004 because it lacks cocoa solids (only cocoa butter) in its ingredients. Following the petition of large chocolate manufacturers, the US FDA standardized its composition and "legally" considered it chocolate. Yes, chocolate also has its legal identity!
