From the very start up to now, this is what I have been creating — the Our Lady of the Pilar Shrine in Pilar, Sorsogon. It is still a work in progress. I used only simple materials because we are not rich, but lack of tools is never a hindrance. I made this shrine using scraps of fabric, fishing nets, wood, bamboo, and cardboard. I even crafted the image of Jesus from scraps, and added supports inside to make it strong. I am Jerome Miguela Trestiza from Sitio Palaypay, Inapugan, Pilar, Sorsogon. This is what I do for rest and joy after every day at sea — fishing by day, creating by night. If you like my work, please follow and support my page! Let’s grow together. 🙏❤️

Ito ang aking ginawa mula simula hanggang ngayon — ang Simbahan ng Nuestra Señora del Pilar sa Pilar, Sorsogon. Hindi pa ito tapos. Simple lang ang mga gamit ko dahil hindi naman tayo mayaman, pero hindi hadlang ang kawalan ng kagamitan. Ang ginamit ko: pataw, lambat, kahoy, kawayan, at karton. Gumawa rin ako ng imahe ni Hesus gamit ang pataw, at nilagyan ko na ng patibay sa loob para tumibay. Ako po si Jerome Miguela Trestiza, taga-Sitio Palaypay, Inapugan, Pilar, Sorsogon. Ito rin ang aking libangan — pagkauwi ko galing sa laot, dito ako nagpapahinga at lumilikha. Ito ang aking ginagawang Our Lady of the Pilar Shrine. Hindi pa tapos, pero nilagyan ko na ng mga kahoy at kawakay para patibayin. Kahit simpleng gamit lang — karton, lubid, mga bagay na nasa paligid — pinagsisikapan kong buuin ito nang may pagmamahal at pananampalataya. Unti-unti, araw-araw, laban lang. Marami pa akong ilalagay hanggang sa maging pulido at buo na ang aking handog na dambana. Ako si Jerome Miguela Trestiza, isang simpleng mangingisda at magsasaka na nangangarap at hindi sumusuko. 🙏❤️
