Buwan ng Wika Throwback 🇵🇭

Since it’s Buwan ng Wika, let’s take a little trip down memory lane and look back at this Filipino-themed cake we made last year!

This one was filled with little details inspired by Filipino childhood and culture—from the jeepney and the traditional bahay kubo, to the coconut tree, vegetables, colorful banderitas, and our adorable Filipino-inspired characters.

Every little detail was handcrafted in fondant, making this such a fun and memorable project for us.

Looking at old cake photos like this makes us miss baking and creating these little edible works of art! 🥹

For now, The Cake Rack is still not accepting custom cake orders for now, but we’re hoping that we’ll be back in the kitchen and baking for you again soon. ❤️

Until then, enjoy this little throwback with us—and Maligayang Buwan ng Wika! 🇵🇭

Can’t believe this cookie was baked by my son and his groupmates for their TLE project at school! 🍪❤️

It feels like just yesterday when this little boy was spending time at shop 13 years ago. He practically grew up in the shop—and even took his very first steps there! 🥹

Now, this not-so-little Cake Rack baby is a teenager and already in high school. Even taller than me and his dad! How did that happen so fast? 🥹 Time really does fly.

Years may have passed, but one thing I know for sure—the recipes, the love for baking, and the memories we created in that little shop will always stay.

And seeing him bake now, all I can say is… the talent definitely came from his momma! 😂

From my little boy taking his first steps at The Cake Rack to my teenager baking cookies for his school project… what a full-circle moment. 🥹

Speaking of 13 years, I met some of those kids who we’ve made their first birthday cakes years ago and they are all grown up! It was so fun to see everyone grow up and happy that we were part of their milestone in life. Missing you all! Hoping to bake again soon!
