A dessert born from a little accident, and a story that became part of French culinary history.

In 1895, a tableside dessert at the Café de Paris in Monte Carlo caught fire by accident—and from that little mishap came the beloved Crêpe Suzette.

Young Henri Charpentier discovered that the flames had transformed the orange and liqueur into something beautifully caramelized and aromatic. The Prince of Wales loved it so much that he asked for the dessert to be named after his companion, Suzette.

And just like that, Crêpe Suzette was born—a happy accident that became a timeless French classic.
