☕ Did You Know? Why is it called sheba. café?
One of the questions we hear the most from our customers is, “Why Sheba?” Today, we’re excited to share the story behind our name.
Before becoming sheba. café, our first choice was Cloud Cups Café. Unfortunately, we couldn’t register the name because it was already taken.
So, we searched for a name with a deeper story.
According to the famous legend, coffee was first discovered by a goat herder named Kaldi in Ethiopia, after he noticed his goats became unusually energetic from eating coffee cherries. This story sparked our curiosity about coffee’s rich history.
As we explored further, we came across the Kingdom of Sheba—a biblical kingdom widely associated with present-day Yemen and Ethiopia, regions long connected to the history and trade of coffee.
That’s how sheba. café was born—a name inspired by history, rooted in tradition, and chosen to celebrate the timeless culture of coffee.
