Celebrating creativity, faith, and the power of media! 🎨✨

Today’s Awarding Ceremony for our Poster Making Contest highlighted how media plays a significant role in modern society—shaping minds, influencing choices, and impacting values. From television and radio to newspapers, movies, and especially social media, media surrounds our daily lives in the digital age.

Our talented participants beautifully captured how media can either strengthen or weaken moral values, including Christian values. Their artworks remind us that while media is a powerful tool, it is our responsibility to use it wisely—to spread truth, kindness, and faith.

Congratulations to all our winners and participants! May we continue to be responsible creators and consumers of media, using every platform to inspire, uplift, and glorify God. 🙌💙

HOMILY | Tuesday of the 6th Week in Ordinary Time
Reading: James 1:12–18

Today’s reading from the Letter of James talks about something all of us experience: trials and struggles. Nobody is exempt. Whether we like it or not, problems are part of life.

James begins by saying, “Blessed is the one who perseveres in trial.” Notice—he does not say blessed is the one who has no problems. He says blessed is the one who does not give up.

Many times, when something bad happens, we say, “Maybe God is testing me,” or “Maybe God is punishing me.” But James is very clear: God does not tempt anyone to do evil. God is not the source of sin, confusion, or destruction. God is not against us.

The real danger is not the problem itself, but what the problem does to our heart. When we are tired, angry, or hurt, temptation comes—from inside us. Frustration can turn into bitterness, and disappointment can turn into hopelessness.

But James also reminds us of something beautiful: “Every good and perfect gift comes from above.” Even when life is hard, God remains good. He does not change. He continues to give—strength when we are weak, patience when we are tired, and hope when we feel like giving up.

And the greatest gift God has given us is new life. We are not defined by our failures or our struggles. We are defined by God’s mercy and love.

So today, if you are going through something difficult, remember this: God is not the one hurting you; God is the one holding you. Ask Him for strength, and keep going. Perseverance, James says, leads to life.
