Coffee, like all the finer things in life, has many facets, an you are probably aware of a few. But there are thousands of variations that distinguish one coffee from another. Variations in the plants, the soil, the fertilizer used, the cherries ripeness when harvested, and ultimately, how the beans are roasted. All these things combine to give each blend of coffee beans a unique flavor. And as with all things in life....your preference will no be the same as mine. Otherwise we would all eat the same things and marry the same people...but I digress.....COFFEE, that's what it's all about. A great cup of Joe. And within the next couple weeks, our website will be completed and we will show you the various ways people have used to make, what they believe, to be the perfect cup of joe. So stay tuned, we will keep you up to date.

Mission: To gather the finest beans and create a blend of coffee second to none, and make it available to the particular palette of the biggest coffee drinkers in the world...Canadians...

Cordillera Coffee Company still has 3000 kilos of the 2016 crop available. For a limited time, we are offering a 2.5 kilo sample of our mountain grown Arabica single origin bean. This is a strictly hard bean that has been god grown. (Beyond Organic). There is only three thousand kilos available, as the birds ate the other 1000 kilos off of the trees....safe to say, it is bird friendly. This is the way coffee should be...pure and natural. And for the first 100 buyers, we are giving a free hand woven satchel made in the same area as we grow the coffee. Your bag will be shipped with the coffee inside. I personally have used the satchel everyday for three years and it still looks like new! Just give it a cold water wash and it is new again! Men and women alike will love the this tough and rugged satchel. Cannot carry all those pesky rewards cards in your wallet? This is the answer. (also sold separately).

Our Story

Coffee, like all the finer things in life, has many facets, and you are probably aware of a few. But there are thousands of variations that distinguish one coffee from another. Variations in the plants, the soil, the fertilizer used, the cherries ripeness when harvested, and ultimately, how the beans are roasted.

PhilCana Coffee produces all grades of coffee, each meeting a certain market need. The Cordillera Coffee brand was created to provide a specialty coffee that is available online, at an affordable price, allowing individuals and institutions alike, access to specialty coffee. Unlike regular cheap market coffee, where the source is unknown and not guaranteed, our coffee comes from local farmers here in the Cordillera mountains of the Philippines and is 100 percent hand sorted prior to roasting, then stored for several months in order to achieve the peak of flavor.

This coffee will score around 80 points, the threshold for specialty coffee, and yet still is quite affordable. Base price is 220 pesos per 500 gram pack, with discounts for quantity. The coffee is roasted fresh upon request, so order yours today! It is only available in whole bean, in order to preserve full flavor and aroma, as any specialty coffee drinker would agree with.

Of course, our higher end coffees are available at our many fine restaurant and hotel retailers, as well as directly from our farmers in micro lots, at Kalbaryo.com (coming soon).
