Advocacy and Resource Center is proud to celebrate our local first responders and law enforcement with a 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆-𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 event!

Come see the important work our local EMS, police, and fire departments do every day through a variety of interactive demonstrations, including:

🚗 Vehicle extraction
🔥 Live burn demonstration
⚙️ Apparatus walk-throughs
🚨 And more!

This is a great opportunity to get an up-close look at the equipment, skills, and teamwork our first responders use to support and protect our community.

We have had a busy summer over here for the The Food Dudes we typically run 6 to 7 times a week and cater multiple times a day even when we are out with our food truck..
Unfortunately I am often to busy to post about or pictures of our catering/or the locations we are at. (Plus I can barely run a cell phone) No days off just good old fashioned hard work. Many don't understand all the behind the scene things that happen for sure. t
I want to personally thank everyone that has hired us and puts faith in our business that we will do a good job.
Yesterday's catering and todays I think were two of the most important ones of the summer for us. They weren't the biggest, they weren't the most profitable but they were important.
Yesterday we did the Mooers Volunteer Fire Departmentt annual BBQ for their members and families. Just prior to me delivering the food I heard there was an accident and all the depts staff was at the call. I decided to reach out and postpone dropping the food off and wait until they got back from the call. I figured they make enough daily sacrifices that I could sacrifice a few more hours of my time to serve them when they came back from the call. Our local fire departments are the backbone of our community. If you ever need their services you will see the importance it is to continue to support them. Next time you see a member thank them for their service..
Today's food truck was small but very meaningful. Lake Forest Senior Retirement reach out to use seeing if we could do soft serve for their community. Typically we don't go to locations with a very small customer pool. However if you are a senior you realize your independence often fades away and the most meaningless things to many mean a lot to them. Today we stopped and served up ice cream for 30 of their senior community members and boy were they so thankful and happy to get soft serve...
As many of you know I am a very giving person and it's not always about making money to me. A natural high for me is knowing I could of made someone's day a little better or more special. It's very important to give back to the community that supports you.
I am even thinking I might have a few of them convinced to come up as a group to hand out treats for Bumpkins Halloween

The Spooky Season is upon us..

Now that we are into August we will be gearing up for Bumpkins Halloween and will be officially on the look out for volunteers as we post the nights we will be working on things. In August we will be building stuff and making stuff in the garage.

Once Sept rolls around we will start to build scenes to get them up.

Later this week we will have our current 2026 updated list of sponsors..

We will also be posting a materials list for folks if they want to donate.

Although we raise money to cover the main event day I personally fund much of this Halloween event so it's crucial if we can get materials and recycle stuff donated..

Stay tune..

Employment opportunity.

We are looking to add a part time employee to our staff.

15 to 25 hours a week. Starting pay $17.00 a hour

Nights and Weekends are a must.

Mostly store work. Cashier, cooking, cleaning, packaging.

During busy season there is opportunity for more hours in the meat plant.

We will be looking over applicants that applied previously and collecting new ones.

We will be at CVPH main campus today from 11 until 1 pm..

We will have a tent set up and hopefully we get lucky with just clouds..

Thanks everyone that came in the rain and supported us at the Town Of Champlain Offices... (As you noticed we were cooking with no power for a bit as the generator CO sensor get a false positive because it was raining so hard)

Today we will be at Lowe's from 11 until 1 pm. than we will be at the Town of Champlain 4 to 630 pm..

Fingers crossed good weather but if not you can place your order and wait in the car and we can call you it's ready.

We will also have soft serve and other desserts.
