Every Year my mother would make tamales for the holidays. I don’t always take the time to make them but this year I am. I miss my mom and this is a way to connect with her and feel the spirit of the holidays! This year I am making pork and turkey tamales! I made the meat today and tomorrow morning with my Peruvian family we will make them! Happy Holidays all, there is always something to be grateful for.

Todos los años mi madre preparaba tamales para las fiestas. No siempre me tomo el tiempo para hacerlos, pero este año sí. Extraño a mi mamá y esta es una manera de conectar con ella y sentir el espíritu navideño. ¡Este año haré tamales de cerdo y pavo! Hoy preparé la carne y mañana por la mañana los haremos con mi familia peruana. ¡Felices fiestas a todos! Siempre hay algo por lo que estar agradecidos.
