It’s officially June… which means it’s officially winter in Wellywood!!
And with winter here we're reminding our peeps how much it means to get out there and support the hospitality businesses, the cool events and all the legends putting energy into making this city what it is over the colder months.
This weekend is the start of a really cool one called The Lōemis Festival.
Over the next few weeks the city fills up with music, art, installations, performances and all sorts of weird and wonderful things to get amongst.
We spotted The Night Crossing and had to share because this one feels a bit up our alley.
Fire. Music. Giant puppetry.
A slow moving waterfront procession.
A little bit weird.
A whole lot wonderful.
If you’re keen to mix up your usual winter routine, go have a nosey through what’s on and give yourself a reason to head into the city.
And if you're wandering the waterfront before or after… you know where to find us 🍻
