We are closed just on Christmas Day in Queenstown, Christmas Day and Boxing Days in Wanaka, and open the remainder of the festive season for dine in and take out.

Our ovens are once again cranking daily, serving up the best in kiwi apres ski.

The Cow Queenstown is open seven days a week from midday to 11pm and at The Cow Wanaka seven days from 5pm to 10pm.

NB Walk ins only/ no reservations and dress like an onion so you can peel off your layers.

Excitingly, and happily timed to coincide with a wee lick of winter, The Cow Wanaka has stoked the fires & is cranking up the ovens to reopen on Wednesday, 10 May!

We’ll be open from Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm and we’re looking forward to a unimpeded run right through winter, with an aim of getting back to seven days a week in time for the apres ski season.

We’re looking forward to seeing all our regulars again and welcoming newbies.

We’re almost back to the good old days at The Cow Queenstown. Our current opening hours are Monday to Saturday, from midday till late.

We’re keeping our hooves crossed we can have all things blazing seven days a week in time to cater for all your apres ski needs.

The Cow Wanaka is still closed due to staff shortage but we’re aiming to reopen for winter.

We re-open on Wednesday, December 28th following four days of family time and will be serving up The Cow’s famous fare throughout the festive season except January 1 and 2 when we are closed for staff R & R.

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas.

Disclaimer: all dates correct at time of publishing and very much hoping we will soon be able to revert to our traditional 12 hours a day, seven days a week hours.
