We have a crisis!
Our current dough shaper and pizza maker is going back to Italy as he doesn’t agree pineapple belongs on a pizza . His Italian grandmother has threatened to disown him.
We need pizza chef with some experience who can learn to make our great Kiwi pizzas . There is lots of them!

You will need;

1) Very good communication skills-to understand our bad jokes and laugh appropriately.
2) A pulse, a good attitude, and shoes that survive flour coated floors.
3) Muscles enough to roll out hundreds of bases for our hungry customers and hands of steel to load them in ovens.
4) To be able to work to the highest standards -without copying any of our bad habits .
5) Hobbies outside work to keep you fit and your mind clear.
6) An eye for detail -to be able to spot pizza sauce on the ceiling (and clean it)
7) To be happy to meet our high standards of cleanliness and make the heath inspector weep tears of joy . There will be some deep cleaning shifts involved .

The position is 20-30 base hours with extra often available .
It is at Winnie Bagoes Rangiora. (Google us if you haven’t heard ). Winnie’s has been around in Canterbury for over 20 years. It’s a Kiwi institution.
We have an amazing team of staff and contactable , hands on, experienced Kiwi owners.
You will need a 100% positive attitude to life and work.

Has anyone lost a cat? This beauty has been hanging out with us at The Plough for the last couple of days and has been making lots of new friends!

Super friendly and possibly Maine C**n breed? We’re sure someone must be missing their fur baby 😊

Winter has finally arrived but don’t let it stop you from getting out and about . We have an open fire and multiple heat pumps running all day, every day to keep it cosy at The Plough Hotel . All day dining from 11am-8.30pm .

Don't let the weather stop you going out. It never used too, and there was not even a bridge.

Cobb coach crossing the Waimakariri River during a flood to get to The Plough hotel for dinner- way back then.

Hurray !! Blue Cod is back at the pub !!. Someone finally stumped up a lot of
$$$ for a very big tank of diesel to get the boat to the Chatham’s and back . Get in to The Plough Hotel for some of our famous Steinlager battered Blue Cod with fries, salad , lemon and tartare sauce .

PORK RIBS- Stacked high and glazed in our smokey barbeque sauce. Served with a basket of fries and a great wee salad. $37.00

Just in case your Mum forgot to remind you.
We are fully booked for the day but you can always shout Mum a drink in our wonderful bar. Or grab her something delicious from our bottle-shop.
