We’re so proud to see local young farmers stepping up and representing WaiBOP in the FMG Young Farmer of the Year Region-Off 🐄🌱

Best of luck boys — we’ll be cheering you on all the way to nationals! 💪

Huge shout out to the boys 🙌🙌

Ben Barbour (Putaruru), Cam Clayton (Te Aroha) and Toby Christensen (Putaruru) for stepping up to represent Waikato in the FMG Young Farmer of the Year Region-Off competition.

Ben and Toby are competing together in the Waikato Junior Young Farmer team, while Cam is representing Wai/Bop Regional Young Farmers . Alongside competing for national honours in New Plymouth this July, they are also working hard to earn points for the Waikato region.

If Waikato/Bay of Plenty comes out on top, the Wai/Bop Regional Young Farmers region will receive $5,000 for Rural Support Trust - helping us continue supporting rural people and communities when they need it most.

We’re incredibly proud to see these young rural leaders giving it their all, not only for themselves and their clubs, but also for the wider rural community.
