Are you down with the sickness??

Boy there is some nasty flu going around, my team and I have been battling!

So I thought I would make my famous (amongst my family and friends 😉🤧) flu soup!

My flu soup I’ve found always helps a congested chest and gives the immune system a great boost, we’ll team it up with some really strong garlic bread so not only will that target the bugs, but any lurking vampires too 👀💀

So if you or someone you know is feeling ill, flu soup will be in the cabinet tomorrow, please wear a mask if you are crook 🙏🏻😷🤧

So this has happened 🙌🏻

We have made it onto the Cuisine Magazine Good Food Guide!
It’s a list of the best 400 eateries in the country, to add some context that means we are rated in the top 4% eateries in the country! 💥

So needless to say Phil and I are feeling very proud.
We always had a vision to bring a quality eatery to Hawera and this just makes us feel our vision is shared amongst our peers!

Thank you to all of our wonderful customers, you are the reason we do what we do.
To our amazing talented suppliers, you are part of the foundation we stand on and we appreciate your skill, dedication and passion you put into your products 💖

To my team, they say it takes a village to raise a child and the cafe has been like that, you guys show up and work hard to bring mine and Phil’s vision to life each day, we couldn’t do it without you, this acknowledgment is yours too!

To my husband Phil, thank you for walking this crazy journey with me, your simply the best ❤️

Hello everyone, just letting you know the cafe will closed tomorrow from 1pm till 6pm for a private function.
Dinner service starting from 6pm 🥣

In fact we have the privilege of hosting two birthday celebrations
Ohangai has a 100th birthday lunch and The Gathering an 80th afternoon tea, we are privileged to be taking care of these two legends and the mind boggles when you consider 180 laps around the sun, 🌞🌎🌞the things they have seen and the changes that come with it! We will certainly be putting our best foot forward tomorrow.
Feeling very blessed 🌿
