A little update from Jem's Snack Box ❤️🌭

Well, this certainly isn't the post I thought I'd be writing tonight..

Unfortunately, we've made the difficult decision to temporarily close our food cart from home while we look for a new location.

Following concerns raised by our neighbour who doesn't want to live next door to a food business or have cooking smells coming into there home 🙁

While we're disappointed we understand that everyone has that right to enjoy there own home, and we dont want to cause problems for anyone

We are absolutely gutted. We've put so much hard work, time and money into getting Jem's Snack Box up and running, and just as things were starting to take off, we've hit another hurdle.

But we're not giving up! ❤️

We're now looking for a suitable location in Gisborne, preferably on private land or alongside an existing business..

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported us, purchased food, shared our posts and given us encouragement. It honestly means so much.

Keep a eye out for us at the A&P Show

Our catering is still available, and we'll keep you updated on where Jem's Snack Box pops up next!

This is just a little setback, not the end of our journey. ❤️ follow our page for our next location

Hey everyone! 👋

We are a brand new local food cart venture here in Gisborne, and we are getting ready to serve up some awesome American hotdogs, loaded fries, burgers, etc 🌭🍟🍪

We have our mobile kitchen registration completely sorted, but since we are brand new, we want to start small with a casual trial run to see what everyone thinks of the menu.

We are on the lookout for a friendly, locally-owned private business in town with a little bit of spare space in their yard or car park where we could park up for a trial day or weekend.

Our setup is a tidy little cart (roughly **4 metres long by 2 metres wide**) with a professional gazebo-style setup at the back. It runs completely on **solar and gas**, meaning we are 100% self-contained, completely quiet (no noisy generators), and won't need to plug into your electricity. We promise to leave the spot absolutely spotless! ☀️🌱

If you are a business owner who might be keen to team up, And hopefully bring some extra foot traffic to your yard, or if you just really love great street food and want to chat about a small spot fee, we would love to hear from you!

Feel free to send us a DM or tag a business owner who might be open to a chat. Thanks so much for supporting a new local startup! 🙏✨
