There’s something pretty special about working with beautiful, local produce, especially when it comes straight from Christchurch backyards. For many years now, Brenda and her partner in New Brighton have been supplying us with the most incredible spray-free peaches, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Those sanguine peaches are a bit of a diva, you’ve got to catch them at just the right moment, then move fast: pit, prep, and let their flavour shine.⁣

Right now, we’re showcasing them in a few ways:⁣
✨ a warm spiced compote over hot waffles⁣
✨ a vibrant, pure sorbet where their colour and intensity really shine⁣
✨ and of course, paired with custard and a spiced buttery crumble in a nicely textured ice cream ⁣
⁣
Simple, seasonal, and full of flavour. ⁣
