Hello and welcome to my channel!

The summer season is over. That is the time of year when we get most of our visitors,both Norwegian and international tourists.

Probably the question I hear most often from my guests during the summer is: “Do you live here? All year? Even in winter?”

What am I supposed to answer? Maybe: “I’m too poor to afford another house outside Nyksund.” 😄

But jokes aside, we really are open all year round, and we have guests who come to Nyksund outside the summer season for many different reasons. And there is definitely no shortage of work here!

Over the next weeks and months, I want to use this channel to show you what happens in Nyksund after the summer tourists have left.

And the first thing I should probably do is… get myself a better microphone. 😄

The summer season is coming to an end, and the autumn and winter season is already beginning.

Our guesthouse is open all year round, and together with our restaurant, Arthur Brygga and Ekspedisjonen, you will always find a restaurant open in Nyksund throughout the autumn as well. Video by Cecilie Eckert

It won’t be long now until the starting signal for the Arctic Run. Registration is still open, and we still have a few rooms available.

We didn’t produce quite that much stockfish ourselves, but our klippfisk turned out very well this year too. We use it in our homemade bacalao.
