Replica Olympic

Replica Olympic M.S. Olympic (III) is a proposed plan to rebuild Titanic's sister with modern technology. The ship must have a length of 269 meters and a height of 55 meters.

The ship carries non-flammable furniture, and has 16 compartments. The original design was made by Sarel Gous, founded Replica Titanic in January 1998. The ship has an amount of 26 cruise lifeboats. The interior of Olympic would be the same as the cruise ships have. Behind the bulkheads she will be an luxury paradise, with the original grand staircase and first dining room. The ship will contain t

he latest safety and technology of the present day. The keel of the Olympic must be laid over several years. She will be build in parts like the way how cruise ships getting built. The ship must still stay afloat when six compartments are flooded with water. The bulkheads are designed to the main D-Deck. Her furniture and interior must be nonflammable. On top of the bridge she has a radar, navigation and weather balloon to make the ship so safe as possible. The new Olympic will use the latest technology of the present day from SOLAS requirements. She will sail on diesel engines, and she will still keep her speed as the old Olympic II, 23 knots. The ship must set sail on June 14 of a year in the future. When her maiden voyage is done, she will do cruise services between Southampton, England. To North America, South America and other sides of the world.

She arrived in New York like it was nothing.

No crowds screaming.
No headlines.
No sense that history was being made.

Just another crossing.

The RMS Olympic — Titanic’s sister — easing into Pier 59, passengers lining the rails, cargo waiting dockside.

For those on board, this wasn’t remarkable.

But today…
it feels almost impossible to imagine a ship like this arriving unnoticed.

We’re excited to share that, in collaboration with AureonMusic, we’ve created a dedicated to the RMS Olympic. The track opens with a subtle nod to her sister ships, and , before focusing entirely on Olympic’s remarkable life, from her early days through to her final dismantling in in 1935.

The song is named "Beyond Her Wake" (Olympic's Song). You can view the lyrics in the comments below.

Musically, the piece draws inspiration from traditional Scottish sounds, as well as the atmosphere of “A Party in Third Class” from James Cameron’s 1997 film Titanic.

So for the last month and 5 days I've been working on building Titanic on a program called Minecraft on the computer.

First I had to build the dry dock 20 blocks below the surface (that's how deep it is) then encase with clear glass to get full 180° visual from under water.

I had to expand the drydock in size twice from the original concept to accommodate Titanic during construction cuz she is just that dang big.

Titanic dimensions im building on

Total length 598 blocks
Width 58 blocks
Keel 490 blocks

These measurements are exactly 1 of 2 of the original scale of Titanic. I'm currently working on the main hull of the ship atm and just finished the entire outer hull last night after starting with the waterline hull, then the bow, and last the stern

Pictures below of construction from drydock to the ship itself presently.

Next im gonna be working on the interior now next before continuing on with the main superstructure.

Which means the engine room, boiler rooms, cabins, dinning rooms, crew quarters, cargo holds, 3rd class cabins and all class reception rooms, grand staircase, bridge, marconi wireless room, etc etc

This is still a powerful photo of the Olympic in her later career. A ship that survived and enjoyed her 24 years of service. After losing her brand new sister Titanic in 1912, she lost her second sister Britannic too in 1916. She was the sole survivor of the Olympic-Class for the White Star Line till her scrapping in 1935.
