Proud to have commissioned the new baling line for Green Valley Onion Company!

Eqraft® Checkweighers ensure that every consumer pack meets the required weight specifications before being accurately counted and combined into secondary packaging by the Baxmatic® bag fillers. SYMACH completes the process with perfectly stacked pallets, ready for efficient logistics and distribution.

Operating reliability, efficiency, and accuracy were the key principles behind this project — values that strongly align with Eqraft®’s approach to automation. We are proud to have collaborated closely with the client and several other equipment manufacturers to bring this impressive installation to life.

This control cabinet is the brain of the Sewing Lane — the final step after produce is weighed and bagged by our Combination Weigher and Baxmatic® Bag Filler.

The panel is fully re-engineered with the latest components, up-to-date wiring standards, and custom pre-cut cables — colour-coded and fitted with ferrules straight from production, resulting in a significantly more compact cabinet.

This Onion Factory of the Future features full automation of all production processes, from cleaning and grading to internal logistics, temporary storage, packing and palletizing. It boasts unprecedented information gathering per onion, maximum traceability, and minimal manual labor.

Following a successful first project, this U.S. client once again placed their trust in us to develop their new facility in Washington State. In addition to selecting the Eqrader™ optical onion sorter and our cleaning and packing solutions, they invested in fully automated internal logistics. Eqraft’s shuttles, lifts, and roller tracks replace traditional forklifts, integrating seamlessly with the fully automated warehouse.

We greatly appreciate the close collaboration with the client, contractors, and fellow vendors, which is ensuring a successful project. As with many of our projects, we are also relying on the expertise of our Onion Tech Alliance partners Modesta Filters and SYMACH for active cleaning, residual flow handling, and palletizing.

Agro Duiveland specializes in the sorting, packing, and storage of onions, potatoes, and other produce. Nine months ago, we commissioned their Baxmatic® system for automatic bagging and sewing, which has since processed 1.5 million bags.

During last Friday’s Demo Days, nearly 140 visitors got a close look at the packing process in action. Many thanks to Agro Duiveland for the invitation, hospitality, and trust!

Together with their growers, Dacomex delivers onions and potatoes of excellent quality to the global market.
