I almost fainted delivering an order today
Today humbled me.
I hadn't eaten since morning. I was busy telling myself
"I'll eat later, let me just finish this order first." Because as a business owner, you learn to put work before yourself over and over again.
I had an order for two bowls of stew and four buckets of chinchin.
I finished the stew.
Then I started the chinchin.
One bucket.
Two buckets.
Three buckets.
I was already making the fourth bucket, about to fry it, when my body suddenly said no more.
My head started spinning.
My legs felt weak.
My chest felt tight.
I checked the time one hour to delivery.
In that moment, I knew if I pushed myself any further, I would collapse right there in the kitchen.
So l stopped.

I left everything exactly where it was.
I went to sit down.
And for the first time that day... I ate.
That pause probably saved me.
It reminded me that Zab's Culinary House runs because I am alive, standing, and well.
Not because I can push endlessly without rest.
This is my gentle reminder to every small business owner:
Deadlines matter. Orders matter. Customers matter.
But you matter more.
From today, I'm learning that taking care of myself is not laziness it's part of the business
