Burger Bun Dough

Ingredients
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup warm milk (110°F)
2 tbsp sugar
2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter (soft)
1 large egg

Method

1. Mix warm milk, sugar, yeast. Rest 5 min.

2. Add flour, salt, butter, egg.

3. Knead 8–10 min until smooth.

4. Place in greased bowl, cover, rise 1–1.5 hr until doubled.

5. Divide into 8 pieces, shape balls.

6. Place on tray, cover, proof 30–45 min.

7. Brush with egg wash.

8. Bake at 375°F for 15–18 min until golden.

Hot Dog Bun Dough

Ingredients
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup warm milk
2 tbsp sugar
2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup butter (soft)

Method

1. Mix milk, sugar, yeast. Rest 5 min.

2. Add flour, salt, butter.

3. Knead 8–10 min until soft dough.

4. Rise 1–1.5 hr until doubled.

5. Divide into 8–10 portions, shape logs.

6. Place on tray, proof 30–40 min.

7. Bake at 375°F for 15–18 min.

Garlic Bread Dough

Ingredients
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup warm milk
2 tbsp sugar
2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter

Method

1. Mix milk, sugar, yeast. Rest 5 min.

2. Add flour, salt, butter.

3. Knead 8–10 min until elastic.

4. Rise 1 hr until doubled.

5. Shape into loaf or baguette.

6. Proof 30 min.

7. Bake at 375°F for 18–20 min.

8. Brush with garlic butter and bake 3–5 min more.

Pizza Dough

Ingredients
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup warm water
2 tbsp sugar
2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil

Method

1. Mix water, sugar, yeast. Rest 5 min.

2. Add flour, salt, oil.

3. Knead 8–10 min until smooth.

4. Rise 1–2 hr until doubled.

5. Punch down, divide.

6. Stretch into pizza base.

7. Add toppings.

8. Bake at 475°F for 10–14 min.

Calzone Dough

Ingredients
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup warm water
2 tbsp sugar
2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil

Method

1. Mix water, sugar, yeast. Rest 5 min.

2. Add flour, salt, oil.

3. Knead 8–10 min until elastic.

4. Rise 1–2 hr until doubled.

5. Divide dough, roll into circles.

6. Add filling on one side.

7. Fold, seal edges tightly.

8. Bake at 425°F for 18–22 min until golden.

Carrot Cake

🧾 Ingredients

For the cake
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1½ tsp cinnamon
• ½ tsp salt
• ¾ cup vegetable oil
• 1 cup sugar
• ½ cup brown sugar
• 3 eggs
• 2 tsp vanilla extract
• 2 cups finely grated carrots
• ½ cup crushed pineapple (optional but makes it moist)
• ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

For the cream cheese frosting
• 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
• ½ cup butter, softened
• 3 cups powdered sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1–2 tbsp milk (if needed)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare the oven

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease two 8-inch round cake pans and line with parchment paper.

2. Mix dry ingredients

In a bowl whisk together:
• flour
• baking powder
• baking soda
• cinnamon
• salt

3. Mix wet ingredients

In another bowl beat:
• oil
• sugar
• brown sugar
• eggs
• vanilla

Mix until smooth.

4. Combine

Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.

5. Add carrots

Fold in:
• grated carrots
• pineapple
• nuts (optional)

6. Bake

Divide batter evenly between the two pans.

Bake 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

7. Cool

Let cakes cool completely before frosting.
