FWD TODAY - A GREATER GLORY

"Though your beginning was small, Yet your latter end would increase abundantly.
Job 8:7 NKJV

‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.”
Haggai 2:9 NKJV

It is very often said that small beginnings are very trying days and may not always end well. Due largely, to contending or prevalent limiting/negative issues, ranging from lack or dearth of resources, material or human to bad economy or spiritual or unforseen forces or circumstances. The truth is, Christians are not exempted from trying situations but are assured of victory and joyful endings.

The Scripture talks about how the glory of the latter-day will be greater than the glory of the former day. That means what God did for your parents, grandparents. What previous generations have experienced - the blessing and favor. That was good, but God is a God of increase. He has greater things in store for you. The problem lies with how we navigate through the times and seasons of life, and with what mindset or disposition. A lot of times, there is great need for dogged determination and dependence/trust in the sovereignty and providence of God, our Creator, to succeed.

For us, believers and followers of Christ, there are no two ways and no alternatives. This is why, even when it looks bleak or time draws to a close, we cannot give up but stand rooted upon His promises until we lay hold of the expected. Do not end your quest because it is getting dark. The God of the 11th hour miracles still lives. He would show forth for you, even in that final minute. For He is never late. Do not throw in the towel because of potholes or setbacks. He is a specialist in bouncebackability. The setback is for a mega COMEBACK!

I hear the Lord say,
'Keep your hope afloat for there is more coming, for there remains for you a GREATER GLORY.' CONGRATULATIONS

FWD TODAY - EMBRACE THE NEW

“Luke 5:37-39 NKJV
And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved. And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, 'The old is better.

As we journey through life, God takes us through new seasons or phases that birth new things in our lives and walk with Him. There is need to embrace it and run with the momentum! As He is eager and always excited to walk us through these things, many do not make the switch, and so end up either slowing or killing the new God intended.

In doing this, God relocates to a willing heart and we lose out completely. New wine must be put in a new wineskin not an old one. God is always doing the new, we are expected to follow suit. As a child of God, be creative just as He is. Always review your endeavours and find new ways to do/achieve your goals.

In your home, find new ways to please your spouse and better ways to relate with and train your children. As a father, there are new ways you can always take care of your family. Do you need to change accommodation or renovate the house? You might need to change the cars or furniture even if they're not old, just to create excitement for your loved ones! You may need to take your family on vocation out of town or take short trips around town.

Ma'am, don't cook the same meals for months, get creative and try new recipes. Surprise your family with food from other parts of the world, or even states or villages different from yours. Change the cookware seasonally. Change the bedsheets, curtains and have the kitchen and bedrooms overhauled. Change your decor, have new theme colours for all the rooms in the house. Variety is the spice of life!

I hear the Lord say,
Don't allow boredom into your life.... have a paradigm shift...embrace the new!
