"I remember when we all graduated from university."
You know how people check on people? People just started checking on me for some reason—calling me on the phone. Back then, it was very fanciful to get a bank job. Everybody was calling me, asking: "What are you doing? I'm working with Oceanic Bank now! I work with Standard Trust Bank!"
Everybody was working. "Where are you working?"
God has a plan for you. Please, I beg of you: you don't have a mate.
Jehu was sitting with his peers, and Jehu was called out from among them. Never forget—you don't have a mate. I wish you would understand what I just said. I don't have a mate.
They are doing better than me? Let them do! I seem to be doing better than them? I'm not going to look at how I am better than them and be applauding myself—because even where I am right now does not look like where God is taking me.
Even when I started working with the United Nations, when it was something to be proud of—when some of them found out and said, "Oh my goodness, you work with UNFPA now? You mean you work with UNFPA?!"—something inside me was still telling me: "That place where you are does not look like where I am taking you."
Sir, I put in my resignation. I resigned.
I must have disappointed everybody who knew me. "And you resigned to do what? Live in Umuahia and do ministry in Umuahia?!"
Sir, I knew my calling. I don't have a mate!
Right now, they've decided to forget me. Let them forget you! Let me tell you something: you were beginning to settle where you have outgrown. If the brothers of Joseph never hated him, he would have remained comfortable in his father's house. But his brothers hated him—and that hatred was necessary. Because if you don't push me out, I will not come into the fullness of my destiny.
I don't have a mate. The decisions you take will show whether you truly believe you have a mate.
When you begin to settle around people, the Lord is saying to you: "Listen, you've outgrown this."
Unless you are not a person of destiny—your mates are building houses? Let them build! Your mates are traveling abroad? Let them travel!
When your own season comes, have you ever heard of forty years of progress happening in one day? Have you ever heard: "I will restore unto you the years that the locust has eaten, the cankerworm, and the palmerworm"?
If you understand destiny, you will rest.
