Sandwerf is looking for an experienced Business Development, Marketing & Events Manager.
Sandwerf is a responsibly developed, community-oriented rural destination near Dordabis, combining accommodation, conferencing, retreats, events, hospitality, arts, gardens and equestrian activities.
This is not an entry-level or purely social-media position. We need a commercially minded person who can actively find clients, establish relationships, pursue opportunities and convert enquiries into confirmed business.
The role includes:
• Developing corporate, conference, retreat, accommodation and events business in Namibia.
• Directly approaching companies, organisations, tour operators and potential partners.
• Developing appropriate business relationships in Cape Town, Johannesburg and other regional markets.
• Managing social media, website content, online listings and marketing campaigns.
• Applying a practical understanding of SEO and coordinating with external digital specialists where required.
• Managing enquiries, proposals, quotations, client follow-up and event coordination.
• Maintaining a structured sales pipeline and reporting measurable results.
• Identifying new events, partnerships and commercial opportunities.
We are looking for someone with:
• At least three years’ proven experience in sales, marketing, business development, hospitality or events.
• Evidence of generating leads, securing clients or achieving measurable results.
• Strong sales, communication and relationship-building ability.
• Working knowledge of SEO, social media, websites and digital marketing.
• Confidence in approaching corporate clients and senior decision-makers.
• Initiative, independence, strong organisational ability and commercial common sense.
• A valid driver’s licence and willingness to be based at Sandwerf, with regular travel to Windhoek.
On-site accommodation and meals are provided.
