The Khatem, an Eight Point Star pattern, an octagram tessellation carries the symbolic meaning rooted in islamic art and sacred geometry. Formed from 2 overlapping squares rotated 45 degrees, one symbolized the material world and the other symbolized the spiritual world. Together, they represent harmony between earthly and divine realms – living a fulfilled balance life in this world with spiritual awareness.

Our Unorthodox Nature

My Kitchen Confidante is only open for orders during Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Mid-Autumn Festival and Christmas. Meaning on these occasions, we will have a dedicated menu for ordering. At other time of the year, we bake for sizeable orders that are customised to requirements. These come from companies and brands gifting for their esteemed clients and social events like parties, weddings, product launches and fundraisers. Besides our love for baking, teaching is what we enjoy as much. Conducting private baking classes for both enthusiasts and commercial is our unpublicized forte.
