School holiday idea: let the kids play while mummy & daddy eat in peace 😌

My 6-year-old boy is doing a little “show & tell” of our Kampung Dining Signature 1 Utama Kids Corner — because honestly, this is his favourite part of the restaurant 😂

We created this little corner for families like us: a place where kids can play freely with toys, books and different kids materials — no time limit, no extra charges.

And for the little ones, we have our Happy Meals at only RM19, served with free drink + fruit 🍎🥤

So while the kids are busy playing… parents can finally sit down, enjoy pork nasi lemak, curry laksa, cendol, coffee, or just a chilled meal together.

Eight years ago, we opened a small kitchen in Seksyen 17 with nothing but third-generation Peranakan recipes and the hope that someone would come.

You came. And you kept coming back.

You brought your parents. Then your kids. You called us by name before you sat down. Some of you stayed so long — you stopped feeling like customers and started feeling like family.

That's not something we plan. That's something that grows over eight years of honest food and even better people.

Seksyen 17 .17 is going to serve our last plate on 24 may.

But we didn't just pack up and leave. We packed up — and we built something.

The rattan chairs you sat on for years? Restored and moved. New lighting. Better kitchen. A kids corner for the whole family. And a pork broth we've been quietly working on — finally ready.

Same recipes. Same rempah. Same faces that know your name.

We are still here. 🧡

不是每一批都完美。失去了一些顾客。但食物不对，我就回来找答案，直到找到为止。
Not every batch was perfect. We lost some customers. But when the food wasn't right, I came back to this kitchen until I found the answer.

那个答案，永远只有一个——做让人感觉像回家的味道。
The answer was always the same — cook what feels like home.
