Pork Pongteh 豆酱闷猪肉

这是一道娘惹独有的特色美食，猪肉用红葱头，老抽，豆酱，和椰糖闷煮到入味，到入口即化，味道带咸中带些甜。
娘惹阿嬷来自马六甲，无论搬到了哪里，从马六甲搬到柔佛现在搬到了吉隆坡，还是坚持一定要用马六甲纯正的马六甲椰糖。阿嬷相信只有原味上好的材料才能做出最正宗的味道。
这大概是娘惹文化的一种坚持不妥协不偷工减料的精神吧😊

娘惹阿嬷其中一样非常受欢迎的叁芭辣椒。辣椒是娘惹家庭每天不可缺少的主菜之一，娘惹阿嬷说因为家里贫穷，从小每天都要用石头臼子人力来研磨制作辣椒。这样磨啊磨啊就磨了快60年磨到今天。现在更加感恩有机会能够把家传的正宗传统辣椒跟更多朋友分享。还是要谢谢大家的喜爱和佳评。

This is one of the must eat reunion dishes for the traditional Peranakan family during Chinese New year. Ingredients include prawn, cabbage, dried bean curd, black fungus, dried lily buds, which carry the auspicious meaning for the Chinese.

I wish nothing but everyone get to reunion with their loved one and family soon no matter where they are. And the pandemic to be over soon, for us to sit down again with our family for a simple reunion meal. 😇

Another type of Nyonya lemak/curry by Nyonya Ah Ma, it may look the same with many others curry, but the main indredients was made from Bird's eyes chilli.

Just want to shout out to my talented mum, my son's Nyonya Ah Ma who spoiled our appetites with all the delicious Nyonya cuisine where we can't find anywhere else.

We are so blessed that we still live together and see each everyday, when we know that so many out there lost or away from their parents, children, and families.

Sometime we don't really need to have expensive and complicated ingredients to create a delicious dish. Just like this simple dish, nothing fancy or complicated, just made from chilli, garlic, onion, etc pair with eggs and anchovies, it's more than enough to create an unforgettable flavour for the taster.

Just like our life, sometime we only need something really simple to feel happiness, yet the most expensive things can't guarantee any everlasting joy.

It can be a beautiful conversation, a touching story, a hug from someone, or maybe even a simple meal together with your loved one❤️
