Smash cake shoots are the cutest thing ever — messy hands, cheeky smiles, frosting everywhere 🧁💦 But a little prep before the big day can make everything go way smoother (and help you get those adorable photos!).

👶 Before the session:
– Make sure baby had a good nap and isn’t hungry — a happy baby = happy photos.
– Dress them in something comfy that can get messy (or go shirtless with a cute diaper cover!).
– Keep wet wipes, towel, and extra clothes nearby. You’ll thank yourself later 😂

📸 For better photos:
– Sit baby a little away from the cake first — they’ll crawl or reach toward it naturally (super cute for photos!).
– Some babies don’t know what to do at first, so you can show them how to touch or taste the cake.
– Try a bright, simple setup so baby and the cake pop in photos!

🫧 After the smash:
– Quick clean-up idea: have a baby tub or small basin ready for a mini rinse after the session.
– Bonus: some parents turn that into a bubble bath photoshoot — double the cuteness!
