Today, we were delighted to welcome David from Kenya to the MY LIBERICA coffee farm.
David is the owner of Maguta Coffee Estate. Despite his young age, he has dedicated himself to producing exceptional Kenya coffee, with his work earning recognition on the international stage.
Our friendship began last year when Sasa Sestic invited us to Fiji for a coffee exchange. We flew from different countries, yet somehow ended up on the same flight from Singapore—and even sat next to each other. As fellow coffee producers, we shared the same accommodation, travelled together, and spent countless hours exchanging ideas about coffee.
David is a man of few words, but his passion and knowledge become clear whenever he speaks about coffee.
During his visit to MY LIBERICA, we had the opportunity to share our experiences in coffee production. David introduced how Maguta Coffee Estate focuses on producing high-quality Kenya coffee, where much of the harvesting and processing is still done by hand. I also shared our journey in automation, fermentation management, and production optimisation at MY LIBERICA.
A special thank you to Cloud Catcher for bringing David to visit the MY LIBERICA coffee farm. We truly appreciate the opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and learn from one another.
People often say, “Coffee has no borders.”
The more I travel, the more I believe it’s true.
Coffee has connected us with friends from all over the world—farmers, processors, roasters, café owners, and green coffee traders. Different languages, different cultures, yet the same passion.
That’s the beauty of coffee.
Looking forward to visiting David and Maguta Coffee Estate in Kenya one day, and continuing a friendship that began with a shared love for coffee.
