Throwback: A slow morning exploring the origins, preparation and quiet ritual of matcha. We were honoured to welcome our friends who joined us in sharing this experience 💛
Looking back on April earlier this year, our matcha partner Masa San was with us to brew and share some beautiful teas from Uji, Kyoto. This intimate session was an opportunity to learn directly from the cultivator and producer who we have been working with for 6 years at Peep.
A presentation that we have anticipated after receiving plenty of interest over the years; We explored the world of Japanese tea with a focus on matcha and other celebrated green teas. Guests had the chance of tasting rare Japanese teas while learning the history of its cultivation, the producers, terroir and traditions behind them - even down to the choice of bowls to use depending on the weather & season.
