Once every three months, our Boardroom fills with a different kind of voice.
Since introducing our paid Dilmah Internship Programme (DIP) three years ago, we've stayed committed to two simple goals: give talented graduates real exposure to an international working environment, and ask them to challenge how we do things, with fresh eyes and no assumptions.
This week, on 9th September, our current cohort of 10 interns did exactly that. Rotating across Production, IT, Engineering, Legal and Food Technology, they sat down with Chairman & CEO Dilhan C. Fernando to present the ideas, observations and process improvements they've developed over the past few months. With 15–20 interns in the programme at any given time, these quarterly Board reviews have become one of our favourite traditions - proof that the best insights don't always come from the most experience.
Grounded in purpose, integrity and kindness - this is how we grow our future leaders.
