1. It all begins as a cherry
Coffee doesn’t grow as beans.
It starts as a bright red coffee cherry on a small tree.
Inside that cherry are two seeds — the beans we know.
Farmers carefully handpick only the ripest cherries.
2. Drying & Processing
After picking, the cherries are processed in two ways:
• Washed coffee – cleaner, brighter taste
• Natural coffee – fruity, sweet, richer
This step decides most of the coffee’s flavour.
3. Roasting – where magic happens
Green coffee beans have no smell.
But once roasted, they transform into the aromatic, brown beans we love.
Every roast level creates a different personality:
Light roast – fruity, bright, floral
Medium roast – balanced, smooth
Dark roast – bold, strong, smoky
Your barista chooses the roast that matches the drink.
4. Grinding at the perfect size
Grind size decides strength and flavour:
Fine → strong (espresso)
Medium → balanced (pour-over)
Coarse → soft and mild (French press)
A good coffee shop grinds fresh for every cup.
5. Brewing the soul of the bean
Coffee can be brewed in many ways:
Espresso

French press
Moka pot
Cold brew
Each style extracts different flavours, aromas, and textures.
