At Fonda, we make our salsas from scratch — using chiles grown locally at Crater's Edge. Ground by hand. No additives. No preservatives.

Nine years ago, tequila was a tough sell in Nairobi.

We'd get asked, more than once, if our margs could be made with something else. Gin. Vodka. Whatever felt more familiar. We'd talk people into trying it the right way -- our way. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes it didn't.

Today that conversation barely comes up. Guests ask about mezcal before we even mention it. Agave spirits have found their footing in Nairobi, and we've watched it happen from our bar.

And we still love seeing that glint of understanding with that first sip, we love sharing and walking through the journey of Mezcal — the agaves, the regions, the smoke.

Our margarita has been called the best in Nairobi more times than we can count. We're not going to argue.

We make our orange liqueur in-house, squeeze that fresh lime every day, and don't skimp on the Tequila we use.

At Fonda, we don't believe in shortcuts - we believe in authenticity, hard work and staying true to the craft.
