Every great culture starts with a simple idea.

For us at Urban Loft Cafe Busia, it began with a question

What if a cafe could feed not only your body, but your mind too?

And so, our little reading culture was born. ❤️📖

We wanted to create a space where you can step away from the noise, settle into a comfortable corner, pick up a book, and simply read, think, learn and grow.

But we knew we couldn't build that culture alone.

And that's where the generosity of our community came in.

To everyone who donated a book, whether one book or many
thank you. 🙏🏽

You didn't just donate a book.

You donated a new idea waiting to be discovered.
You donated knowledge someone may carry for years.
You donated a story that may inspire someone at exactly the right moment.
You helped us put another tool into the hands of someone who wants to grow.

Today, we're grateful to see our little collection taking shape. 📚

Our hope is that it becomes more than just a bookshelf.

We want it to become a culture.

A culture where young people read.
Where conversations begin with ideas.
Where curiosity is celebrated.
Where someone can enjoy their coffee, take a break from the world, open a book and leave a little wiser than they arrived.

Because Urban Loft Cafe is about more than food.

It's about creating spaces that make life a little better.

So, to everyone who has helped us build this dream

Ever wondered how Ladies Night became a thing?

Legend has it that years ago, a group of friends walked into a restaurant after a long week. The guys ordered first, loudly debating football, politics, and everything in between. The ladies? They just wanted one evening where they could laugh until their cheeks hurt, sip something nice, dance a little, and forget the week's stress.

The owner watched the joy at that table and thought, what if there was a whole night dedicated to that feeling?

Not a night about discounts.
Not a night about trends.
Just a reason to celebrate the women who spend so much of their time taking care of everyone else.

And somehow, the idea spread.
