Still feeling inspired by this unforgettable experience with FC Bayern Women in Japan. ❤️🤍⚽️

The day before our sushi event, I had the wonderful opportunity to watch FC Bayern Frauen play at NACK5 Stadium Omiya.

Seeing the players on the pitch — their strength, passion, teamwork, and respect for one another — truly moved me.

As a sushi chef, I realized that there is something very similar between sport and craftsmanship:
individual skill is important, but something truly special is created when people trust each other and work together as one team.

And the following evening, we met again — this time around sushi. 🍣🇯🇵🇩🇪

What began with football became a beautiful cultural exchange through Japanese food, bringing together female athletes, creators, and women working in food and fisheries.

I’m deeply grateful to FC Bayern Women for welcoming us into this special moment in Tokyo, and for giving me an experience and inspiration that I will carry into my own journey as a sushi chef.

Fish or Tea? 🫖🐟

After nearly six months of experimenting with one idea —
“Can fish become tea?” — it has finally found its place on my summer omakase menu.

Introducing the first course of Sushi Chidui’s Summer Omakase:

Warm Algae-Fed Flounder & Filefish “Fish Tea” Jelly 🍵🐟

I slowly draw out the natural umami from warm algae-fed flounder and filefish, using only minimal seasoning, then set the delicate broth into a cool, translucent jelly.

Finished with flounder engawa and just a subtle touch of medicinal spices.

Not quite soup.
Not quite tea.
Not quite jelly.

It is my interpretation of “Fish Tea” — letting the flavor of the fish itself become the infusion.

A cool, gentle first sip — and the beginning of a summer sushi journey.

Sharing Japanese food culture through sushi with one of the world’s top football clubs was an unforgettable experience.

As a female sushi chef and the developer of Yakuzensalmon®, my mission is not only to serve sushi, but also to introduce Japan’s food culture and sustainable aquaculture to people around the world.

This experience has strengthened my belief that my future lies in bringing Yakuzensalmon and Japanese culinary culture directly to restaurants, chefs, and communities across the globe.

I still can’t stop thinking about this unforgettable weekend.

Before hosting a sushi cultural exchange for FC Bayern Women, I had the incredible honor of being invited to watch their match at NACK5 Stadium.

Watching them live was truly inspiring.

Their passion, discipline, and above all, their teamwork moved me deeply. Every player fought for one another, and you could truly feel the spirit of the club both on and off the pitch.

As a sushi chef, I often stand in front of the counter alone.

But this match reminded me that behind every great performance is an amazing team.

The very next day, together with my own incredible team, we welcomed FC Bayern Women for a special Japanese sushi experience.

It became much more than a dinner.
It was a beautiful cultural exchange, where football and Japanese cuisine connected people beyond language and nationality.

Thank you, FC Bayern Women, for inspiring me not only as athletes but as people.

You reminded me that teamwork, respect, and passion are universal languages.

I hope our paths cross again someday.
