ブルゴーニュとローヌそしてバローロ、バルバレスコの間、でもピノでもシラーでもネッビオーロでもない世界最高峰のブラウフレンキッシュ。
以前から大好きなオーストリア、ブルゲンラントの『MORIC』.wine のローラント・フェリッヒ氏とJANU TOKYOのお料理をいただきながら話を伺いました。
繊細な世界線のなかの奥行きと緻密さ複雑さ、彼自身が日本を愛する理由とそのワインが日本の料理に合う理由をしっかりと理解できました。

The taste lies somewhere between Burgundy, the Rhône, and Barolo/Barbaresco,
yet it is neither Pinot Noir, Syrah, nor Nebbiolo —
this is Blaufränkisch at the very highest level.
I had the pleasure of speaking with MORIC’s Roland Velich, a producer I have long admired from Burgenland, Austria,
while enjoying the cuisine at Janu Tokyo.
Within this delicate world, I clearly felt the depth, precision, and complexity of his wines,
and truly understood why he loves Japan,
and why his wines resonate so beautifully with Japanese cuisine.
