Architecture is rarely confined to straight lines, and neither should the elements that define it. The Curved Hinged door breaks the mold of traditional partitions by seamlessly integrating into curved walls, maintaining absolute flush-to-wall planarity along a radiused surface.

This patented system replaces conventional frames and jambs with an extruded aluminum frame that is completely embedded into the wall, ensuring the door contours flawlessly to the building's organic lines. Engineered with concealed hinges and a perimeter seal, it ensures silent operation and a visually uninterrupted flow.

One project, three distinct opening mechanisms, zero structural disruption. Achieving ultimate purity in custom homes often requires selecting multiple door typologies that perform without altering the spatial volume.

For the Rifugio sul mare residence, Linvisibile supplied three distinct engineered solutions, all unified under a single "As wall" finish:
- Brezza | Filo 5 Vertical Pivot Door: Perfect for managing wider transitions smoothly on a concealed vertical axis.
- Alba | Filo 5 Hinged Door: Reinterpreting the traditional hinge with fully hidden hardware and flush recessed handles.
- Marea | Pocket Door: Maximizing tight floor space by sliding silently back into the wall partitions.

Can doors truly become part of sculpted architecture?

In the "Rifugio sul mare" project on Isola d'Elba, Italy, Cappellini Design reimagined interior boundaries. The spaces feature extensive custom masonry that shapes everything from structural partitions to built-in beds and sofas.

To support this rigorous minimalist language, Linvisibile developed frame-free custom doors with an "As wall" finish. By applying the exact same plaster finish over our engineered panels, the lines between opening systems and sculpted masonry walls are completely erased. The result is a unified, material-driven layout that channels calm, clean Mediterranean geometry.

Achieving a true flush-to-wall result isn't just about the door system itself, it's about every detail of the installation, including the finishing of the aluminium frame.

A common mistake on site is leaving the frame unfinished: the spacer-holder holes remain visible, and without proper sanding and painting, the frame stands out against the wall instead of blending into it. The result is a visible "border" around the door, which undermines the entire concept of an invisible, seamless opening.
In this short video, we walk through the correct finishing workflow step by step.

When this process is followed correctly, the frame becomes part of the wall itself, no visible edges, no interruptions, just a continuous and truly invisible result.

Throughout the private quarters of Private residential, R&S Villa, the architecture relies on a succession of Linvisibile hinged doors designed to achieve complete visual mimetism with their surroundings.

To maintain a strict material continuum, the doors alternate custom claddings depending on the zone:
Canaletto Walnut cladding: Creating a seamless connection with the warm, rich wooden volumes of the home.
Natural Clay cladding: Blending directly into the textured clay walls, transforming the opening into a silent, uninterrupted surface.

In R&S Villa the opening systems step into the spotlight to manage transition and light. Entry to the main living area is defined by a sophisticated double leaves Linea Pocket door, featuring sleek anodized profiles and bronze-colored mesh glass.

This high-end aesthetic transitions into the kitchen with a remarkable custom-engineered system composed of two distinct leaves:
