Here’s the story of how/why SNL ventured:

I still remember a video call with my son that changed everything. He was in his hostel, heading to dinner when I called. During our chat, I noticed he was having the same sambar and papads day after day. I couldn’t stand the thought of him missing out on variety and taste, so I sent him a small jar of non-veg pickle.

In just two days, he and his friends had finished the entire jar. My son called to tell me, “Mom, the jar’s already empty!” And then I heard his friend Vishnu say, “Thank you so much, Aunty! Because of your pickle, we had a really good meal today.”

That one line stuck with me. I thought, why only my son or Vishnu? How could I bring that same joy and comfort to others who needed it?

That was the beginning of SNL Pickle.

This journey didn’t start as a business idea. It began with the desire to make meals better for anyone missing the flavors of home. Since then, we’ve dedicated ourselves to “Making Meals Better.”

Meet Gopeka - a passionate foodie living in Chennai, whose love for flavors often led her to explore new culinary delights. One day, on a friend’s recommendation, she stumbled upon SNL Pickles. Little did she know, this simple jar of pickle would become a lifeline during one of the most challenging times in her life.

December 2023 brought Chennai to a standstill. For two relentless days, record-breaking rains pounded the city, triggering floods that left thousands stranded. The storm affected everyone, but not everyone was equally prepared for the ordeal. For Gopeka, the reality of the situation sank in the morning after the rain finally ceased.
