Thirteen years ago, one of my very first official cake orders was their wedding cake.

Back then, I poured my heart into creating a cake worthy of one of the biggest days of their lives.

Recently, they came back to celebrate another milestone—their 13th wedding anniversary. The best part? They trusted me completely with the design.

Instead of starting from scratch, I went back to where our story began.

The original cake featured elegant cascading orchids, delicate pearl details and timeless ivory tones. Rather than recreating it exactly, I wanted this anniversary cake to feel like its next chapter.

So I kept the essence of the original but gave it a modern, refined twist.

The result is a single-tier design with hand-piped floral textures, fresh magenta orchids, pearl accents and clean contemporary lines—proof that a cake can evolve, just like the memories it celebrates.

Moments like these remind me that cakes aren’t just desserts. They quietly become part of a family’s history, and being invited back years later is one of the greatest compliments I could receive.

Thirteen years ago, I made one of my very first official wedding cakes.

Recently, the same family came back to celebrate their 13th anniversary and trusted me with their cake once again.

This time, they left the design completely up to me.

Instead of starting from scratch, I looked back at their original wedding cake and took inspiration from it—keeping the elegance of the orchids and pearl details while giving it a modern, minimalist twist.

Moments like these remind me that cakes aren’t just desserts. They become part of a family’s memories, celebrations, and milestones.

Being invited back after 13 years is something I’m truly grateful for. ❤️

This three-tier anniversary cake was designed to sit inside a trending fire reveal setup…

For this reel, I wanted to take you behind the scenes of the actual cake creation process — from dowelling and stacking to adding transparent spacers, warm LED details, florals, and all the finishing touches that brought the design to life 🌸✨

Also loved unboxing a lovely package from .in eBake and using their dowels, ribbons, and beautiful gold sprinkles throughout this design. Thank you for being a part of this creation 💛
