Rose gulkand modak is a delightful Indian sweet that combines the fragrant, floral notes of gulkand (rose petal preserve) and rose essence with the traditional flavors of modak.

Ingredients-

1. 1 Tbspn Desi Ghee
2. 1 cup of lukewarm Milk
3. 1 cup of Milk powder
4. 1 cup of Dessicated Coconut
5. 1.5 cup of Powdered Sugar (can vary as per your taste)
6. Rose essence
7. Pink food color (optional)
8. Gulkand (for filling)
9. Chopped nuts of your choice

Recipe-

1. Heat Desi ghee in a pan on medium to low flame
2. Add milk to the pan and stirr
3. Now add milk powder, dessicated coconut and powered sugar and keep on stirring until the mixture thickens
4. In a separate bowl, add few drops of rose color in half a tablespoon of lukewarm water
5. Add this to the mixture and also a few drops of rose essence as well
6. Mix it nicely and put off the flame
7. Once the mixture cools down a bit, grease your palm and the modak mould with ghee
8. Take some mixture and put it in the mould and shape it, create some space in between and add some filling of gulkand and close the bottom with some prepared mixture
9. Firmly press the mould and remove the extra mixture from the sides of the mould
10. Open the mould and carefully take out the modak

Garnish it with some dried rose petals or nuts of your choice (optional)

Dhaniya Panjiri is often used as a bhog (offering) for Kanha (Lord Krishna) during religious ceremonies, especially on special occasions and festivals. Here's how you can prepare Dhaniya Panjiri for Kanha bhog:

# # # Ingredients:
- **Coriander Seeds (Dhaniya)**: 1 cup
- **Ghee (Clarified Butter)**: 2-3 tablespoons
- **Sugar**: 1/2 cup
- **Chopped Nuts (Cashews, Almonds)**: 1/4 cup
- **Chopped Dried Fruits (Raisins, Dates)**: 1/4 cup (optional)
- **Cardamom Powder**: 1/2 teaspoon
- **Grated Coconut**: 1/4 cup (optional)

# # # Instructions:
1. **Roast Coriander Seeds**:
- Dry roast coriander seeds in a pan on medium heat until they release a fragrant aroma. Allow them to cool and then grind into a coarse powder.

2. **Prepare Panjiri**:
- Heat ghee in a pan.
- Add chopped nuts and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- If using dried fruits, add them and cook briefly.
- Mix in the roasted coriander powder.
- Stir in sugar and cook until it melts and blends with the other ingredients.
- Add cardamom powder and mix well.
- Optionally, add grated coconut.

3. **Offer to Kanha**:
- Allow the Panjiri to cool slightly before offering it to Kanha as bhog.

4. **Serve**:
- Once the bhog is offered, you can distribute it among devotees or enjoy it yourself.

This preparation is not only a delicious treat but also considered auspicious and nutritious, aligning with the devotional aspects of offering food to Kanha.
